“The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those WHO TRUST IN HIM…” (Nah. 1:7) When we trust in our Abba Father fulfilling our obligation to Him, we live a life of dependence upon Him, and are devoted to Him; He knows who we are, HE OWNS US…We belong to Him. He has keen awareness of every situation we are in and knows what is best for us, and what course to take most efficiently for our relief! Of course He knows if we have given our hearts to Him!!! “For the LORD WATCHES OVER THE WAY OF THE RIGHTEOUS, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.” (Psa. 1:6) In singing these verses, and PRAYING OVER THEM, let us hold a holy fear of the wicked person’s portion, and understand it with a secure and lively anticipation of the judgment to come, and STIR UP OURSELVES to prepare for our standing before the Lord to give an account for ourselves, “So then each of us shall GIVE ACCOUNT OF HIMSELF to God.” (Rom. 14:12)
With a holy care TO APPROVE OURSELVES TO GOD in everything, pleading for His favour WITH OUR WHOLE HEARTS. “You did not choose me, but I CHOSE YOU and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that WHATEVER YOU ASK in my name the Father WILL GIVE YOU.” (John 15:16)
WE MUST MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO CONFIRM OUR CALLING AND ELECTION, FOR IF WE DO THESE THINGS, WE WILL NEVER STUMBLE!
