In this world so FULL OF UNCERTAINTIES CHRISTY, we can be certain of this, “SEE HOW VERY MUCH OUR FATHER LOVES US, for He calls us HIS CHILDREN, and that is WHAT WE ARE! DEAR FRIENDS, WE ARE ALREADY GOD’S CHILDREN, but He has not yet shown us what WE WILL BE LIKE when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be LIKE HIM, for we will SEE HIM AS HE REALLY IS. And all who have this eager expectation will KEEP THEMSELVES PURE, just as He is pure.” (1 John 3:1-3)
“For all who are LED BY the Spirit of God are CHILDREN OF GOD. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when He ADOPTED US as HIS OWN CHILDREN. Now we call Him, “ABBA, FATHER.” For His Spirit JOINS with our spirit TO AFFIRM that WE ARE GOD’S CHILDREN. And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, we ARE HEIRS OF GOD AND JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering.” (Rom. 8:14-17)
“Abba, Father” is mentioned in relation to the Spirit’s work OF ADOPTION that makes us God’s children and heirs with Christ. In (Gal. 4:6), “…because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Again in the context of adoption, the Spirit in our hearts cries out, “Abba (daddy), Father.” Together, the terms Abba and Father doubly emphasize the fatherhood of God. In two different languages, we are assured of God’s care for US, HIS CHILDREN.
