“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance INCORRUPTIBLE and UNDEFILED and that DOES NOT FADE AWAY, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the POWER OF GOD through faith for salvation ready to be REVEALED in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:3-5)
There are so many people going through very difficult times in their lives, one thing they have in common is that they’re grasping for something to give them hope. Hope that things will get better. Hope for healing. Hope that God will be with them while they’re going through these hectic times. Well, read this, “Now may the God of hope FILL YOU with all JOY AND PEACE in believing, that you may abound (be plentiful) in hope by the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.” (Rom. 15:13)
Some men’s hope of heaven is not a living hope, A living hope will stir you to action. Many people talk about how they are going to heaven; yet they live as if they are going to hell!
That’s not true hope!
- A True hope purifies you,
- A true hope excites you,
- A true hope causes you to seek after the Lord.
- A true hope motivates you to achieve the impossible.
Anyone hoping to gain a prize uses their best endeavors, will burn the midnight oil, They will utilizes all available resources. Even more so; as Christians with a living hope we need to devote ourselves to obtaining the blessings which God has promised in his word. The Lord hath begotten us to a “LIVING HOPE…”
WITH ALL MY HEART I WAIT FOR THE LORD TO HELP ME. I PUT MY HOPE IN HIS WORD…(Psa. 130:5)
