Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger or sword? It is written: “For your sake we face death all day long…” No, in all these things we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, life, angels, demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, NOR ANYTHING ELSE IN ALL CREATION, WILL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.” (Rom. 8:35-39)
It’s interesting how the devil constantly tries, one way or another, to convince us that we lack something that will keep the love of Christ from us. The devil challenges our belief in what Christ can do in our lives and links that to His lack of love for us, you know, Jesus says, “Very truly I tell you, whoever BELIEVES in me WILL DO THE WORKS I HAVE BEEN DOING, (and not only that but) they will do EVEN GREATER THINGS THAN THESE…” (John 14:12) We see from the verses in Romans, it’s not possible for Jesus to love us any more than He does so, why are we not doing the works? Jesus said “WHOEVER BELIEVES…” our problem is a lack of believing, we need to pray the prayer of the man who said, “I do believe; HELP ME OVERCOME MY UNBELIEF!” Jesus said, “Everything is possible FOR ONE WHO BELIEVES.” (Mark 9:23-24)
