The Caring Place Ministry
“I know the plans I have for you,” announces the LORD. “I want you to enjoy SUCCESS…I will give you hope for the years to come.” (Jer. 29:11)
We are serving the same God who spoke into existence millions of miles of planetary bodies, including our own earth and all that is in it! There is nothing too great for the Lord to accomplish!
“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all–how will he not also, along with him, GRACIOUSLY GIVE US ALL THINGS?” (Rom. 8:32)
When it comes to the poor and needy look at some of these statistics:
- 767 million people, or 10.7 percent of the population, live in extreme poverty with less than $1.90 per day.
- At least 17 million children suffer from severe acute undernutrition around the world. Severe acute malnutrition is the direct cause of death for 1 million children every year.
- Every single day, 1,000 children under 5 die from illnesses like diarrhea, dysentery, and cholera caused by contaminated water and inadequate sanitation.
“There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore, I COMMAND YOU to be openhanded toward [those] who are poor and needy…” (Deut. 15:11)
This is what happened in Bradley County, with the Caring Place Ministry in 2016.
- 1,166: Average number of households served each month.
- 13,888: Total number of children who were assisted through The Caring Place.
- 270,000: Total pounds of food given to those in need.
- 26,877: Total number of Sac Pacs provided to elementary and middle school students.
- 1,009: Number of families assisted by Neighbors in Need
- 261: Number of homeless households served.
“He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;” (Psalms 113:7)
This what is happening at the Caring Place Ministry, with the dedicated and committed staff as they pray for and minister to each poor and needy person that comes for assistance!
“Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and TO INHERIT THE KINGDOM HE PROMISED those who love him?” (Jam. 2:5)
So, we see that God’s favor is toward those who are helping the poor and needy! His presence and favor are here so let’s provide the most adequate and best place to do this ministry!!!
Seeking for the very best for God!!!
