NO TIME TO RELAX AMY…

Jesus said, “Let us cross over to the other side.” Now they took Jesus along in the boat as He wasa great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, PEACE, BE STILL!” And there was a 1GREAT CALM. Jesus said, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you HAVE NO FAITH?And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “WHO CAN THIS BE, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!” (Mark 4:35-41) 1megas: a splendidly occurring great calm on a grand scale. It was not just “calm” AMY, but “MAGNIFICENTLY CALM Even after things settle down, Mark tells us, the disciples’ fear has not lessened; rather, it’s only moved on to another topicthey feared a great fear, and they wondered, Who is this guy, that even THE WIND AND THE SEA OBEY HIM? Great calm does not prevent the disciples’ great fear.

Now Jesus came to the country of the Gadarenes (This was East of the Jordan). Notice, the devil begs Christ not to “torment” him because Jesus said, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” (Mark 5:8)  Now, they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed, sitting and clothed and IN HIS RIGHT MIND. And they were afraid. (Mark 5:15) Now to finish this day Jesus heals the woman with the issue of blood and raises Jairus’s Daughter from the dead. THIS IS THE SAME JESUS WE ARE SERVING AND TESTIFYING ABOUT.

“Jesus has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS…(Rev. 19:16)
