“NO ONE KNOWS the day or hour. Not even the angels in heaven know. The Son does not know. Only the Father knows.” (Matthew 24:36) So, what do we know?
When His disciples asked Jesus when He would come and get them, “Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one DECEIVES YOU. (planaō: to be led away into error and sin)” (Matthew 24:4) Jesus said to the Jews, “I tell you; you will not see me again UNTIL YOU SAY, ‘BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.'” (Baruch Ha’ba B’Shem Adonai) (Matthew 23:39)
If Satan can prevent the Jewish people from saying this, Jesus will not come back for them! That may sound ridiculous to you but, “This false christ will make a SEVEN–YEAR TREATY with the people (Israel), but after half that time, he will break his pledge and stop the Jews FROM ALL THEIR SACRIFICES and their offerings; then, as a climax to all his terrible deeds, the Enemy shall utterly DEFILE THE SANCTUARY of God.” (Daniel 9:27) The Jews rejected Jesus as Messiah because, their imaginations ran wild based on this prophecy (Isaiah 9:6-7). They believed that since the Messiah would come to power, He must be born in a palace, He must be majestic, with the countenance of a king, and He would lead them to overturn the Roman regime. However, not only was the Lord Jesus not born in A ROYAL PALACE, but He actually was born in a manger. Not only did He not behave in a kingly way as they imagined, but He appeared to be A VERY COMMON AND ORDINARY MAN. So He could not be their Messiah, they are looking for a powerful king so when they meet the anti-christ they WILL BE DECEIVED and enter into A SEVEN YEAR COVENANT with the anti-christ accepting him as their Messiah. “…but in the middle of the seven years covenant the beast will stop the sacrifices and the Jews will see the deception and flee, into the wilderness, where God had PREPARED A PLACE FOR HER, to take care of her for 1,260 days (the last half of the Tribulation).” (Revelation 12:6)
Before the beast could be revealed, “Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness (the anti-christ) is revealed…And now YOU KNOW WHAT IS HOLDING HIM (the anti-christ) BACK, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now HOLDS IT BACK will continue to do so UNTILL HE (the Holy Spirit in the Church) IS TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY (when we are “caught up” to meet the Lord in the air). AND THEN the lawless one WILL BE REVEALED, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of His coming.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-8) Make sure you are ready!
