“When Mephibosheth…came to David, he bowed down to pay him honor. David said, “Mephibosheth…DON’T BE AFRAID…for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the…and YOU WILL ALWAYS EAT AT MY TABLE.” (2 Sam. 9:6-7) Mephibosheth was the former King’s (Saul) grandson, he was the son of Jonathan, a man whom David had entered into a covenant with and promised to watch over his family. Most all of Saul’s family had been killed by now, so King David invited Mephibosheth to come and live with him and EAT AT THE KING’S TABLE and of course be under the King’s protection! Now, let’s see how the Lord cares for us. “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, BE WITH YOU ALL.” (2 Corin. 13:14) “The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, HEIRS OF GOD AND FELLOW HEIRS WITH CHRIST…” (Rom. 8:16-17)
We are so very blessed to be a fellow heir with the King of King’s who said to us: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I WILL COME IN AND DINE WITH THAT PERSON, and they with me.” (Rev. 3:20) Just imagine, every morning waking up and sitting around the table with our Lord and savior. Wow! “To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to SIT WITH ME ON MY THRONE, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on His throne.” (Rev. 3:21) Not only will we sit and on at His table, but we will sit on His throne and have access to the tree of life! “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right TO EAT FROM THE TREE OF LIFE, which is in the paradise of God.” (Rev. 2:7) We will truly be face-to-face with our Lord and our God! “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now AMONG THE PEOPLE…GOD HIMSELF WILL BE WITH THEM AND BE THEIR GOD. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be NO MORE DEATH‘ or MOURNING or CRYING or PAIN, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Rev. 21:3-4) What an awesome time awaits as we wait for the coming of our King where we will unite, in person, with our Abba Father and with our Lord and Savior (our brother) Jesus!
OUR ABBA FATHER WILL WIPE EVERY TEAR FROM OUR EYES. THERE WILL BE NO MORE DEATH OR MOURNING OR CRYING OR PAIN!
