“Jesus Himself 1BORE OUR SINS” in His body on the cross, so that WE MIGHT DIE TO SINS AND LIVE FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS; “by His wounds YOU HAVE BEEN HEALED.” (1 Peter 2:24) 1anapherō: to take upon oneself. Jesus took our sins upon Himself, that’s when we were freed from THE CURSE OF ADAM’S SIN. You know where it says, “…just as through one man [Adam] sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, BECAUSE ALL SINNED.” (Rom. 5:12) Jesus took our “nature to sin” from us, to the cross, to allow us to be free from sin. “that we might DIE TO SINS” in other words, we have died to our sinful nature! Now, we still need to repent and ask forgiveness for the wrongs we have done. We just do not have to continue to live under the curse of sin! Because,
