Kids who see their parents quarrel during a separation or divorce are more likely to develop a FEAR OF ABANDONMENT and even if a child feels close to one or both parents, that fear can still undermine their mental health down the road. They may wonder who will be next to abandon them. “Even if my FATHER AND MOTHER ABANDON ME, THE LORD WILL HOLD ME CLOSE.” (Psa. 27:10 NLT)
This is the Lord’s promise to us TOMMY, “Be strong and of good courage…for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He WILL NOT LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.” (Deut. 31:6) So, the Lord is always there for us no matter how we may act. How do we know this? “For God SO LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him MIGHT BE SAVED.” (John 3:16-17)
God very wisely tells us, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “NEVER will I leave you; NEVER will I forsake you.” (Heb. 13:5) Jesus closes out His time with us hear on earth with these words “…surely I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, until the end of the world.” (Matt. 28:20)
