Why should we HOLD ON? Because AMY, “…the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore He will RISE UP (Stephen, being stoned to death said, “Look! I see the Son of Man STANDING at the right hand of God!” (Acts 7:56)) to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who WAIT (châkâh: waiting by faith for something to happen) FOR HIM! Your own ears will hear Him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left. Then you will destroy all your idols and images (all our distractions). You will THROW THEM OUT like filthy rags (menstrual rags), saying to them, “Good riddance!” (Isa. 30:18-22) The enemy wants to discourage us but God is ALWAYS THERE to help us through.
So, just what should we do? “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” (Gal. 5:1) David said, “You God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, MY WHOLE BEING LONGS (kâmahh: I faint with desire) FOR YOU, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your LOVE IS BETTER THAN LIFE, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will LIFT UP MY HANDS.” (Psa. 63:1-4)
