“…the kingdom of heaven shall BE LIKE TEN VIRGINS who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.” (Matt. 25:1)
NOTICE THE SIMILARITIES, THEY:
- WERE ALL VIRGINS: This indicated their purity.
- ALL HAD LAMPS: Jesus told us, “Let your light so shine before men…” (Matt. 5:16)
- WERE ALL GOING TO MEET THE BRIDEGROOM: Half of them were ready sadly, half of the Church were not, NO OIL. (Oil represents the presence and power of the Holy Spirit of God throughout the Bible.)
To be foolish is to claim to be a child of God, but when you wake up in the morning, you don’t pray, you don’t read your Bible, you don’t have time for God. All you do is to make money, and like the world enjoy yourself. The Scriptures says: “Wisdom is more precious than rubies–(money)” (Pro 8:11)
You see, “…while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with Him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. Later, when the other five (that represents half of the church) bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’ “But He called back, ‘BELIEVE ME, I DON’T KNOW YOU!’” (Matt. 25:10-12) The Lord says “I don’t know you” because they are not born again.
This is way too important to ignore, we must MAKE SURE we are ready to go when the Lord returns for us…
