Jesus answered the devil… “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on EVERY WORD THAT COMES FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD.'” (Matt. 4:3-4) “…THE WORD OF GOD IS LIVING AND FULL OF POWER…it penetrates…it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12) John saw Jesus, “…dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and HIS NAME IS THE WORD OF GOD.” (Rev. 19:13) Just think about this, every word of the bible is from God, living and full of power, penetrating and judging attitudes and it has a name…JESUS! So, when we speak THE WORD to others, not our words, we are SPEAKING JESUS to them.
After I got saved my desire was to be a witness so, I began sharing with my fellow workers (all engineers), THE WORD in a way I thought highly educated people would understand, it seemed hopeless! One morning as I was on my face praying, feeling defeated about my attempts to be a successful witness. The Lord spoke to my heart these words. “MY WORD is living and powerful, try it…” So, the next time I witnessed, I saw the power of God work where my words failed… IMPLEMENT POWER IN YOUR TESTIMONY USING GOD’S WORD…
