This is how God judges someone who once knew Him and TURNS AWAY (backslides), “…if a righteous person TURNS (shûb: to go away) from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, HE SHALL DIE. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and HIS RIGHTEOUS DEEDS that he has done SHALL NOT BE REMEMBERED, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul.” (Ezekiel 3:20-21)
Just to be sure we understand, “I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, yet IF HE TRUSTS in his righteousness AND DOES INJUSTICE, NONE of his righteous deeds SHALL BE REMEMBERED, but IN HIS INJUSTICE THAT HE HAS DONE HE SHALL DIE.” (Ezekiel 33:13)
“…what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer, He thus fulfilled. REPENT THEREFORE, AND TURN BACK, that your sins may be BLOTTED OUT, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord…” (Acts 3:18-20) Our sins must be under the blood, we must repent of any sin we have committed.
