“…He who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I AM MAKING ALL THINGS NEW.” Also, He said, “Write this down, for these words are TRUSTWORTHY AND TRUE.” (Rev. 21:5) What are these words that are trustworthy and true?
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will BE WITH THEM AS THEIR GOD.” (Rev. 21:3) This of course is talking about when we go to our eternal home where we will be in the very presence of the Lord God Almighty. Which we are when we give our lives to Jesus and are “Born Again”! So, what will it be like?
“And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for THE GLORY OF GOD GIVES IT LIGHT, and its lamp IS THE LAMB.” (Rev. 21:23) This “LAMB” is the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ our Lord…
“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, FLOWING FROM THE THRONE OF GOD AND OF THE LAMB through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for THE HEALING OF THE NATIONS.” (Rev. 22:1-2)
The tree of life is mentioned three times in Genesis 2, in Eden, and again four times in Revelation, three of those in the final chapter. These instances seem to refer to Eden’s literal tree of life. Ezekiel also gave a description of the tree of life.
“…they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. THEIR FRUIT WILL BE FOR FOOD, AND THEIR LEAVES FOR HEALING.” (Ezekiel 47:12)
What an awesome place the Lord is preparing for us, we must be willing to take whatever steps the Lord lays out for us with GREAT EXCITEMENT because it will certainly be worth it all!
“Look! I AM COMING SOON! Blessed are those who obey the words of the prophecy in this book.” (Rev. 22:7)
