There are many today who only come to God when they have a problem. When our Christianity is based only on what can God do for me and how can He make my life better… And, we don’t obey the Word of God and even try to twist Scripture to justify sin. These are signs of being lukewarm!
‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and HAVE NEED OF NOTHING,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked…
Jesus taught us that the two greatest commandments were to LOVE GOD with ALL our heart and to LOVE OUR NEIGHBORS (who ever we are around at the time) as ourselves. Then He said that ALL the Law and Commandments were based on these two. (Matt. 22:26-40) So, the way we should live our lives in these “last days” should be motivated by love…
I advise you to buy from Me GOLD refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white GARMENTS so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and EYE SALVE to anoint your eyes so that you may see.” (Rev. 3:15-18)
Your word is better than fine gold (Psalms 19:10) white is associated with purity (Rev. 3:4) Eye salve is used to clear up vision. So, Jesus is saying we must be CLOTHED IN PURITY our hearts FILLED WITH LOVE and our eyes OPENED TO UNDERSTAND THE WORD OF GOD. Then we no longer be lukewarm.
OH, I WANT TO SEE YOU LORD…
