Let’s examine the necessity and advantage of this GRACE OF LOVE, of course, this is the love that comes from God. (agapē) God’s love isn’t sentimental; it’s part of His character. You know, “God so loved the world…” (John 3:16)
“If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a NOISY GONG OR A CLANGING CYMBAL. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I WOULD BE NOTHING. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I WOULD HAVE GAINED NOTHING.” (1 Corin. 13:1-3)
- Love is patient, kind,
- It does not want what belongs to others.
- It does not brag, it’s not proud, it’s not rude.
- It does not look out for its own interests.
- It does not easily become angry.
- It does not keep track of other people’s wrongs.
- Love is not happy with evil.
“L0VE NEVER FAILS…When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection AS IN A MIRROR; then we shall see FACE TO FACE. Now I know in part; then I shall KNOW FULLY…now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE.” (1 Corin. 13:1-13)
