Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are THE CHRIST, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but MY FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN.” (Matthew 16:13-17) Now here, what is this is all about? God wants us to know who He is and who His only begotten Son is so, He reveals all that to us, WHY? “…indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, that I MAY 1KNOW HIM and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings…” (Philippians 3:8-10) 1ginōskō: a knowledge grounded on personal experience, an intimate knowing, Jewish expression for intercourse between a man and a woman. “…Joseph, did not 1KNOW Mary till she had brought forth her firstborn Son, JESUS.” (Matthew 1:24-25). Consider this Will, “O LORD, You have searched me and 2KNOWN me.” (Psalms 139:1) 2yada`: to know by intimate experience. “Now Adam 2KNEW Eve his wife, and she bore Cain…” (Genesis 4:1)
The reason for all this intimacy is this, Jesus said, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and MAKE OUR HOME WITH THEM.” (John 14:23) Just look at the scriptures confirming this very important fact, “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that JESUS CHRIST IS IN YOU?” (2 Corinthians 13:5) “…CHRIST IS IN YOU, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” (Romans 8:10) “…it is God who has SHONE IN OUR HEARTS to give the light of the knowledge of THE GLORY OF GOD in the FACE OF JESUS CHRIST. But we have this treasure IN EARTHEN VESSELS (that’s what we are Will), that the excellence of the power may BE OF GOD AND NOT OF US.” (2 Corinthians 4:6-7) “…you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit…the Spirit of God DWELLS IN YOU…” (Romans 8:9)
WHEN YOU DRIVE AROUND IN YOU POLICE CAR WILL, YOU WILL HAVE AN ANGEL OF THE LORD CAMPED AROUND YOU AND THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT ALL IN YOU, EVERYWHERE YOU GO!!!
