The Bible says, “Everything is permitted.” But NOT EVERYTHING IS GOOD FOR US. Again you say, “Everything is permitted.” BUT NOT EVERYTHING BUILDS US UP. We SHOULD NOT look out for our own interests. Instead, we should LOOK OUT FOR THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS. Scripture says, “The earth BELONGS TO THE LORD. And so does everything in it.” (1 Corinthians 10:23-26)
WHY DO WE LOOK OUT FOR THE INTREST OF OTHERS?
“We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit INTO ONE BODY (The Body of Christ). It didn’t matter whether we were Jews or Greeks, slaves or free people. We were all given THE SAME SPIRIT to drink. The body is not made up of just one part. IT HAS MANY PARTS…God has placed each part in the body just as HE WANTED IT TO BE…The parts that we think are less important WE TREAT WITH SPECIAL HONOR…If one part suffers, EVERY PART SUFFERS with it. If one part is honored, EVERY PART SHARES in its joy…YOU ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST. Each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:13-14, 18, 23, 26, 27)
HOW MUCH DID CHRIST PAY THE CHURCH? “Therefore, take heed to yourselves, and to all the flock…to feed the church of God which JESUS HAS PURCHASED WITH HIS OWN BLOOD.” (Acts 20:28)
