“Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent…Gather My saints together to Me…Offer to God thanksgiving…”Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I WILL DELIVER YOU, and you shall glorify Me.” But TO THE WICKED God says: “Seeing you hate instruction…These things you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you…NOW CONSIDER THIS, YOU WHO FORGET GOD, LEST I TEAR YOU IN PIECES, And there be none to deliver: Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And TO HIM WHO ORDERS HIS CONDUCT ARIGHT I WILL 1SHOW THE SALVATION OF GOD.“ (Psa. 50:3-23) 1Râ”âh: to see, usually refers to natural sight by the physical eyes. One of those who was wicked at this time was David, for his sin of adultery with Bathsheba and the killing of her husband Uriah. Immediately following this discourse, David repents and is forgiven but God is not just speaking to David but sinners everywhere! Warning them of the consequences of their sin. God promises us that if we get right with Him, have our conduct submitted to Him, then HE WILL REVEAL OR SHOW HIS GLORY.
This is what God wants from us,
A BROKEN SPIRIT, A BROKEN AND A CONTRITE HEART—THESE, O GOD, YOU WILL NOT DESPISE…(Psalms 51:17)
