“I am the LORD your God…my people will not listen to me…IF MY PEOPLE WOULD ONLY LISTEN TO ME…” (Psa. 81:10-13)
What a very sad statement God is making about us, He is the Lord God Almighty, we exist because of Him, why won’t we listen?
“…the LORD raised up judges, who saved them…Yet they would not listen to their judges but played the harlot to other gods and worshiped them.” (Judges 2:16-17)
All through the Old Testament we see repeatedly how God’s people refused to listen to Him. The people of God were finally captured by the enemy and the temple of God was destroyed.
“LISTEN to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it. Blessed are those who listen to me…For THOSE WHO FIND ME FIND LIFE AND RECEIVE FAVOR FROM THE LORD.” (Prov. 8:33-35)
When God gave up His only begotten Son, He said: “MY SHEEP LISTEN TO MY VOICE; I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)
IT IS ESSENTIAL FOR US TO READ THE WORD OF GOD, LISTEN TO IT AND HIDE IT IN OUR HEARTS WHERE IT CAN’T BE TAKEN AWAY…
