Jeremiah was discouraged and said, “I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But HIS WORD WAS IN MY HEART LIKE A BURNING FIRE SHUT UP IN MY BONES; I was weary of holding it back, And I COULD NOT.” (Jer. 20:9) In this scripture AMY, Jeremiah compares the effect of the Word of God, in his heart and bones, to the burning heat of the physical fire and he COULDN’T CONTAIN IT or hold it inside him; he must SPEAK the Word God has given him. That’s how it must be for each of us, we must SPEAK THE WORD the Lord gives to us!!! Every time I kneel down to pray, I have my note book and I ASK the Lord for a Word, my note book is full of words THE LORD HAS GIVEN TO ME and that’s how I do these daily devotions.
Sometimes the devil tries to give us a false word so, listen to the Lord, “Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets (or anyone) who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision OF THEIR OWN HEART, NOT FROM THE MOUTH OF THE LORD…The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully…says the LORD. Is not My word LIKE A FIRE?” says the LORD, “And LIKE A HAMMER that breaks the rock (OF FALSE TEACHING) in pieces?” (Jer. 23:16, 28-29)
God’s Word always produces results, “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, SO SHALL MY WORD BE THAT GOES FORTH FROM MY MOUTH; It shall NOT return to Me void, But it SHALL ACCOMPLISH what I please, And it SHALL PROSPER in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isa. 55:10-11)
WE CAN CONFIDENTLY SPEAK GOD’S WORD…
