One of the criminals who hung on the cross beside Jesus said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, TODAY you will be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:42-43) When we take our LAST BREATH on earth our very NEXT BREATH will be with Jesus. “At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus…THE TIME came when the beggar died and THE ANGELS CARRIED HIM TO ABRAHAM’S SIDE.” (Luke 16:20-22)
“Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at HOME WITH THE LORD.” (2 Corin. 5:6-8) Then Paul says, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire TO DEPART AND BE WITH CHRIST, which is far better.” (Phil. 1:21-23)
The whole point of this is that we must be ready AMANDA, we must be forgiven of our sins and living a sanctified life for Jesus. Not doing our will but doing GOD’S WILL. Our prayer should be, “YOUR kingdom come. YOUR will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” (Matt. 6:10)
