Kim, I do not know exactly how this happens but I’m praying for you, and it goes into all this.

The Bible talks a lot about literal vessels in the Old Testament, which were set apart for special use in God’s house. But in the New Testament, Christians are described as CHOSEN VESSELS. “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity” …then you will be a VESSEL FOR HONOR, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.(2 Timothy 2:19-21)

If we are born again by receiving Christ Jesus as our Savior, then we are one of God’s chosen vessels. Yes, you Kim. Let’s look at some characteristics that we should possess, as a chosen vessel.

Did you know that you are God’s idea—created with a specific purpose in mind? You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it. YOU WERE THERE while I was being formed in utter seclusion! YOU SAW ME before I was born and SCHEDULED EACH DAY OF MY LIFE BEFORE I BEGAN TO BREATHE. EVERY DAY was recorded in your book!(Psalms 139:13-16)

It’s easy to lose sight of that, in a world that is insistent on telling us what our purpose should be. God did not predestine us, He just (because he knows ALL ABOUT US) made a perfect plan for our lives. Now it’s up to us to SEEK HIM to guide our paths to that plan. The devil tries to get us to seek other things in our lives, but God says SEEK GOD’S KINGDOM FIRST. (find out what God wants you to do and) DO WHAT HE WANTS YOU TO DO. THEN all of those things (our daily needs) will also be given to you.(Matthew 6:33)

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
