“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me [Jesus], because THE LORD HAS ANOINTED ME TO PROCLAIM GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR (ânâv, humble, afflicted, meek). He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion…” (Isa. 61:1-3)
There are around 2,000 verses that refer to the poor or needy, they will always be with us (John 12:8). What will it take for us to realize the MOST IMPORTANT DECISION we can ever make in this life, is to give our lives and our devotion to Jesus Christ the Lord of Lords and King of Kings (Rev. 19:16).
“Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing…your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “But SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, and ALL THESE THINGS WILL BE ADDED TO YOU.” (Matt. 6:31-33)
