“HE WHO PUTS HIS TRUST IN ME (God) SHALL POSSESS THE LAND, And shall inherit My holy mountain…For thus says THE HIGH AND LOFTY ONE Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, WITH HIM WHO HAS A CONTRITE (dakka’: to be crushed or beaten to pieces.) AND HUMBLE SPIRIT, To revive the SPIRIT OF THE HUMBLE, And…THE HEART OF THE CONTRITE ONES.” (Isa. 57:13-15) Because of God’s inspiring awesomeness and His magnificent might, we need to be so very careful not to sin against Him! If we do sin, we must immediately repent and seek the forgiveness of God. “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A BROKEN AND A CONTRITE HEART…” (Psa. 51:17) When we sin against God, it is a very serious matter, as David states, “O LORD; In the morning I will direct my voice to You…For YOU ARE NOT A GOD WHO TAKES PLEASURE IN WICKEDNESS…” (Psa. 5:3-4) “…your iniquities have SEPARATED YOU FROM YOUR GOD…” (Isa. 59:2)
“JESUS COMMITTED NO SIN, but…HE HIMSELF BORE OUR SINS IN HIS BODY ON THE CROSS, SO THAT WE MIGHT DIE TO SINS AND LIVE FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS…” (1 Peter 2:22-24)
