We’re praying that we can, “…cry out to the LORD in our trouble, and GOD WILL DELIVER US from our distress.” (Psa. 107:6) This must be a very important thing to do, because it is mentioned four times in this Psalm, verse 6, 13, 19 and 28. I remember several years ago Debbie and I were pastoring the Yakima church in the state of Washington. I was suffering a severe case of shingles and was upstairs praying when Amanda cried out in pain from downstairs, I got up and ran down the stairs to find her hand pinched in the bed and set her free. The severe pain in my body reminded me of my dilemma, it was then that THE LORD REMINDED ME of how we also, push past any hardship to RESPOND TO A CRY FOR HELP!
“Oh, soon, We will praise the LORD FOR HIS GOODNESS, and for His wonderful works HE WILL DO IN OUR LIFE!” (Psa. 107:8)
This verse is also repeated four times, in verse 8, 15, 21, and 31. Illustrating the IMPORTANCE OF THANKING AND PRAISING THE LORD WHO will come to our rescue.
“I am the LORD your God, I take hold of your right hand. I say to you, ‘DO NOT BE AFRAID. I WILL HELP YOU.’” (Isa. 41:13)
Let’s thank and praise the Lord for all His awesome response to our cries for help…
