“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but IN THESE LAST DAYS HE HAS SPOKEN TO US BY HIS SON, whom he appointed 1heir of all things, and through whom also He made the universe. THE SON IS THE RADIANCE OF GOD’S GLORY and THE EXACT REPRESENTATION OF HIS BEING, sustaining (strengthening or supporting) all things by HIS POWERFUL WORD. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” (Heb. 1:1-3) 1klēronomos: one who receives his allotted possession.
Jesus Christ, as the exact representation of God the Father, keeps everything strengthening by His powerful Word. How does He do this? “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True…He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and HIS NAME IS THE WORD OF GOD.” (Rev. 19:11-13) We are hindered by our lack of perfect knowledge but Jesus existed as the Word of God, when God the Father spoke, out of His mouth came The Word of God (Jesus). Much later on The Father needed a perfect sacrifice so Jesus became His only begotten Son. Made of flesh and blood as we are with the ability to be tempted, and to suffer a very painful death on the cross. “For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that HE MIGHT BRING US TO GOD, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;” (1 Pet. 3:18)
