“People brought to Jesus all who were ill with different kinds of sicknesses. Some were suffering great pain. Others were controlled by demons. Some were shaking [epileptics] wildly. Others couldn’t move at all. And JESUS HEALED ALL OF THEM.” (Matthew 4:24)
As we well know there is nothing too hard for the Lord to do, we must believe in Him and in His willingness to help us! “Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold. But I’LL GIVE YOU WHAT I HAVE. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk.” Then Peter took him by the right hand and helped him up. AT ONCE the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk…He walked and jumped and praised God.” (Acts 3:6-8)
So, what did Peter have? “…they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them. The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and THEY WERE ALL HEALED.” (Acts 5:15-16)
Peter explains what he has like this: “BY FAITH in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and THE FAITH THAT COMES THROUGH HIM that has completely healed him, as you can all see.” (Acts 3:16)
Satan has deceived us from knowing the great power that faith brings us, when his disciples could not do something they asked Jesus why:
“Jesus replied, “Because your faith IS MUCH TOO SMALL. What I’m about to tell you is true. If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, it is enough. You can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there.’ And it will move. NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU.” (Matthew 17:20 NIrV)
This is one of the things we should ask the Lord to help us with on this 21 days of prayer and fasting, “Jesus, help me not to have small faith!”
