“…whatever things you ask in prayer, BELIEVING, you will receive.” (Matthew 21:22) Remember this incident, the disciples were in their boat which was being battered by waves, and they were struggling against the wind. “Jesus came to them, WALKING ON THE WATER. Seeing him, the disciples were frightened, thinking they were seeing a ghost. Jesus reassured them, saying, “Take courage! IT IS I. Don’t be afraid. Peter said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So Jesus said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat (looking at Jesus), he walked on the water to go to Jesus (Peter was believing). But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid (not looking at Jesus, not believing); and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me! Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt? (why did you stop believing)“ (Matthew 14:28-31)
“…since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, LET US RUN with endurance THE RACE that is set before us, LOOKING AT JESUS, the AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has SAT DOWN AT THE right hand of the THRONE OF GOD.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)
We can fully trust God to help us because, “…how great is Your goodness oh God, Which You have laid up FOR THOSE WHO FEAR YOU, Which You have prepared for those WHO TRUST IN YOU In the presence of the sons of men! You shall HIDE THEM in THE SECRET PLACE of Your presence from the plots of man; You shall KEEP THEM secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues…Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who HOPE IN THE LORD.” (Psalms 31:19-20, 24)
