“Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because HE WHO BUILT THE HOUSE HAS MORE HONOR THAN THE HOUSE.” (Heb. 3:3) Jesus said, “I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH…And I will GIVE YOU THE KEYS of the kingdom of heaven…“ (Matt. 16:18-19) In both the Old and New Testaments, KEYS symbolize power and authority. We know that the final authority rests in THE GOSPEL ITSELF. “My church will have THE POWER AND AUTHORITY to preach the truth.” “…there are some who trouble you and WANT TO PERVERT the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach ANY OTHER GOSPEL to you than what we have preached to you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED.” (Gal. 1:7-8)
Now concerning the church God has, “…put all things under Jesus’ feet, and gave Him to be HEAD OVER ALL things to the church, WHICH IS HIS BODY (you know the Body of Christ), the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Eph. 1:22-23) “Christ as a Son over HIS OWN HOUSE, WHOSE HOUSE WE ARE if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.” (Heb. 3:6)
