“When I am afraid, I PUT MY TRUST IN YOUIn God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?(Psa. 56:3, 11)

Trusting God is just believing that He loves us, He’s good, He has the power to help us, and indeed, He wants to help us, and He will help us. Christians are called believers, but many times, we are more like unbelieving believers. We trust our friends, the bank, the stock market or the government more than we trust God and His Word. When the Philistines had seized David in Gath, he cries out: “Be merciful to me, my God, for my enemies are in hot pursuit; ALL DAY LONG THEY PRESS THEIR ATTACK.” (Psa. 56:1)

Was David afraid, yes! But then just a few verses later he says: “When I am afraid, I PUT MY TRUST IN YOU…” David new that man could not take away his relationship and trust in God…So, he says “…I am not afraid. What can man do to me?” For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.” (Psa. 56:13)

REALLY TRUSTING IN GOD BRINGS ABOUT WONDERFUL PEACE
