The Lord God instructed the people to go into all the world. They chose to settle in one area and build there a tower that would reach to the heavens. Was that possible? The lord said: “Look! The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, NOTHING THEY SET OUT TO DO WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM! Come, let’s go down and confuse the people with different languages. That is why the city was called Babel (a confused noise), because that is where the LORD CONFUSED THE PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT LANGUAGES. In this way He scattered them all over the world.” (Gen. 11:6-9) We must realize God is the one who orders our steps, and we must fulfill our roles as humble servants, submitting to His plan for our lives. Though we may be tempted to do things our way—especially when we know that God is leading us in a certain direction—WE MUST RESIST THAT TEMPTATION AND TRUST HIS PLAN. DOING THINGS GOD’S WAY IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. SEEK HIS WILL IN ALL YOU DO, and He will show you which path to take.” (Pro. 3:5-6)
