“…I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to OFFER YOUR BODIES AS A LIVING SACRIFICE, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Rom. 12:1-2)
Are we interested in knowing the Lord’s good, pleasing and perfect will? Then, we must allow ourselves to be transformed by offering our bodies as living sacrifices. This will allow our minds to be renewed by God. Because you see, we will think differently when we turn our lives over to God. The Holy Spirit will open our eyes to the things of God.
“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, NOT TO THINK OF HIMSELF MORE HIGHLY THAN HE OUGHT TO THINK…” (Rom. 12:3)
One area that we must be concerned with is the second commandment “love your neighbor as yourself…” (Mark 12:31) Jesus taught that there is no greater commandment than; first, loving God, with our all, secondly, loving our neighbor. The devil loves to stir up ill feelings one toward another. But, you see, God’s perfect will is for us to love one another with the love of God…
