Jesus told His disciples, “This very night YOU WILL ALL FALL AWAY on account of me, for it is written: “‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.” Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I NEVER WILL.“ “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me THREE TIMES.” (Matt. 26:31-34)
These disciples of Christ, who have been so close to Him for 3.5 years, are just going to TURN AWAY? What would we do? If some official said to us “deny Christ or I’ll kill your loved one!” Jesus said, “…when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given WHAT TO SAY, for it will NOT BE YOU SPEAKING, but THE SPIRIT of your Father SPEAKING THROUGH YOU.” (Matt. 10:19-20)
WE JUST DON’T KNOW WHAT LIES AHEAD, WHAT WE’LL FACE, BUT WE MUST BE PRAYED UP AND READY…
