When we are seeking direction for our lives we may pursue our self-made plans without even consulting the Lord WILL. Some may be led by their feelings and emotions, even though the Bible never says we are to be led by how we feel. Still others make decisions based on an unstable economy, current government policies, or other external circumstances. But the devil can govern and influence these natural areas because, “Satan, who is the god of this world, has BLINDED the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the gospel.” (2 Corin. 4:4)
When we make our decisions based on wordly influence WILL, we consistently come to WRONG CONCLUSIONS. So, what should we do? David asks this question, “How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart all the day? Consider and ANSWER ME, O LORD my God…” (Psa. 13:2-3) This is what the Lord answers, “Trust in the LORD with ALL YOUR HEART; do not depend on your own understanding. SEEK HIS WILL in ALL you do, and He will SHOW YOU which path to take.” (Pro. 3:5-6)
