HOW TO PLEASE THE LORD…

Anyone who says he is a Christian should LIVE as Christ lived. (1 John 2:6) what does the LORD your God require of you, but to FEAR the LORD your God, to WALK in all His ways and to LOVE HIM, to SERVE the LORD your God with ALL your heart and with ALL your soul…” (Deuteronomy 10:12) TEACH ME Your way, O LORD; I will WALK in Your truth…” (Psalms 86:11)

What else can we do to please the Lord? Paul encourages Timothy to be a faithful servant of God and to PERSEVERE (to maintain a purpose in spite of difficulty) in the face of persecution and hardship. The verse reads: STUDY (the Word of God) EARNESTLY to present yourself APPROVED TO GOD, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)

HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO IMPROVE OUR PERSEVERANCE:

  • SET REALISTIC GOALS: Setting realistic goals can help you avoid disappointment and frustration, which can lead to giving up on your goals.
  • BREAK DOWN YOUR GOALS INTO SMALLER STEPS: Breaking down your goals into smaller steps can help you focus on one task at a time and make progress towards your larger goal.
  • CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESSES: Celebrating your successes can help you stay motivated and build momentum towards achieving your goals.
  • LEARN FROM YOUR FAILURES: Learning from your failures can help you identify areas for improvement and adjust your approach to achieve your goals.

FOLLOW CHRIST’S EXAMPLE in everything you do just as a much-loved child imitates his father. Be full of love for others, following the example of Christ who loved you and gave Himself to God as a sacrifice to take away your sins. And God was pleased, for Christ’s love for you was like sweet perfume to Him.(Ephesians 5:1-2)
