David said, “I waited patiently for the LORD; He TURNED to me and HEARD my cry. He LIFTED me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He SET my feet on a rock and GAVE me a FIRM PLACE TO STAND. He PUT a NEW SONG in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.” (Psa. 40:1-5) This makes me think about how thankful I am for the day the Lord saved my soul. I was addicted to alcohol, drugs, and an evil lifestyle. The Lord overwhelmed me with godly sorrow, I felt so unworthy to be in His presence but there He was, open before me, I cried out “I’m so sorry” and a GREAT WEIGHT (conviction) was lifted from me. I was saved May 17th, 1972, two days later sanctified, and dumped all my Acapulco Gold marijuana and bottles of alcohol down the toilet, then on the 26th filled with the Holy Spirit. I pastored in Washington State for 17 years, came to Cleveland Tn to computerize the International Offices then became a Chaplain for the Cleveland High School football team for 15 years Where many (hundreds) students received salvation. I suffered a very severe stroke in 2011 which has preventing me from pastoring, so I have been publishing a Daily Spiritual Devotion since then the Lord has blessed me with about 9,700 devotions so far.
“Many will SEE and FEAR the LORD and put their trust in Him. Many, LORD my God, are THE WONDERS YOU HAVE DONE, the things you planned for us. None can COMPARE WITH YOU; if I were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be TOO MANY TO DECLARE.” (Psa. 40:1-5) “May the LORD give you MANY children. May he give them to you and to your children after you.” (Psalms 115:14)
Many of our family has moved to Cleveland, Debbie and I have children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren here in Arizona and Nevada – WE ARE SO VERY BLESSED!
