“Your word I have HIDDEN in my heart, That I might not SIN AGAINST YOU.” (Psalms 119:11) Our faith in God is of utmost importance because, “…without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must BELIEVE that He is, and that He is a REWARDER of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6) How do we get faith? “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the WORD OF GOD.” (Romans 10:17) As was said faith is extremely important because, “…whatever is not from faith IS SIN.” (Romans 14:23)
Jesus told His disciples, “…do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that YOU NEED ALL THESE THINGS.”
So what do we do then JUSTIN?
“…SEEK FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things SHALL BE ADDED TO YOU.” (Matt. 6:31-33) If we seek money first, “…those who desire to be rich fall into temptation…For THE LOVE OF MONEY is a root of ALL KINDS OF EVIL, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with MANY SORROWS.” (1 Timothy 6:9-10)
It is the sole ability that men seek over others to control or change them. “God OPPOSES (ἀντιτάσσομαι: to range in battle against) the PROUD but shows favor to the humble.” (James 4:6)
It is outrageous for us to think that we can compete with God JUSTIN. When we try, He wages war with us and there is no way we could EVER WIN THAT WAR!!! “Therefore HUMBLE YOURSELVES under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time…” (1 Peter 5:6)
