This is said about Jesus, “Behold, HE IS COMING with clouds, and EVERY EYE will see Him, even THEY WHO PIERCED HIM. And all the tribes of the earth WILL MOURN because of Him. Even so, Amen.” (Rev. 1:7) Why will they morn? Remember, when they thought He was presenting Himself as king, Jesus told His disciples to go get a donkey for Him, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me.” (Matt. 21:2)
As He rode the donkey, “A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES in the name of the Lord!” “HOSANNA in the highest heaven!” (Matt. 21:8-9) Now, just a few days later Pilate asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor. “Barabbas,” they answered. “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked. They all answered, “CRUCIFY HIM!” (Matt. 27:21-22) First they want to CROWN Him now they want to CRUCIFY Him and they see to it that that happens!
When this time comes, “…when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place…then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” (Matt. 24:15-16) This is after three and a half years of the beast reining as king, who goes into the holy of holies and set’s himself up as god. The Jews flee to hide from the beast and realize they were deceived and MOURN FOR WHAT THEY DID TO JESUS. “Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth WILL MOURN, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven WITH POWER AND GREAT GLORY.” (Matt. 24:30)
