The angels said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been TAKEN UP FROM YOU INTO HEAVEN, will COME IN JUST THE SAME WAY as you have watched Him GO INTO HEAVEN.” (Acts 1:11)
As I read these words this morning it was as though this were my first time to see them! For about 39 years or so, I have read through the bible each year because the Lord impressed upon me the importance of HIDING God’s word in my heart to keep from being deceived. One awesome discovery I have made is:
“Oh, the DEPTH OF THE RICHES BOTH OF THE WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE OF GOD! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable [past finding out] His ways!” (Rom. 11:33)
So, how do we really know what God is saying in His word?
” …no eye has seen…no ear has heard…no human mind has conceived”– the things God has prepared for those who love Him– these are the things GOD HAS REVEALED TO US BY HIS SPIRIT. The Spirit searches all things, even the DEEP THINGS OF GOD.” (1 Corin. 2:9-10)
This is the same way that Jesus ascended into heaven:
“…the Lord Himself will COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be CAUGHT UP TOGETHER with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord FOREVER.” (1 Thess. 4:16-17)
When will this all take place? When the antichrist is revealed!
“Don’t let anyone deceive you…for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed….He will OPPOSE and will EXALT himself over everything that is called God…so that HE SETS HIMSELF UP IN GOD’S TEMPLE, PROCLAIMING HIMSELF TO BE GOD.” (2 Thess. 2:3-4)
“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains (restricts) will do so until He is taken out of the way. (The Holy Spirit in God’s Church is restricting the lawless one) And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” (2 Thess. 2:7-8)
Time to for the great victorious battle…
“I saw… a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True…His eyes are like blazing fire…He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is THE WORD OF GOD. The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean…the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet…The two of them were THROWN ALIVE into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.” (Rev. 19:11-14, 20)
LET’S MAKE SURE WE ARE WASHED IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB…
