“…DO NOT 1THROW AWAY YOUR CONFIDENCE, which has a great reward… 1apoballō: to discard; or to get rid of something no longer desired.
Blind Bartimaeus threw away his garment, (Mark 10:50) which indicated he was blind, when Jesus called him, because he knew Jesus would heal him. The devil tries to convince us to THROW AWAY OUR CONFIDENCE because it is no longer useful to us.
For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God YOU MAY RECEIVE WHAT IS PROMISED.
We must diligently hold on to our confidence in Christ to receive THE PROMISED PRIZE…
For, “Yet a little while, and the coming one WILL COME AND WILL NOT DELAY; but my righteous one shall LIVE BY FAITH, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”
We must live by faith and “know” that Jesus is coming back to catch us away…
But we are not of those who 2shrink back and are destroyed, but of those WHO HAVE FAITH AND PRESERVE THEIR SOULS.” (Heb. 10:35-39) 2hupostolē: timidly retreating.
Let’s proclaim that we will NOT RETREAT TIMIDLY but boldly preserve our souls in faith.
I CAN DO ALL THINGS THRU CHRIST WHO GIVES ME STRENGTH…
