“…if anyone is IN CHRIST, he is a new creation; old things have PASSED AWAY; behold, ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW.” (2 Corin. 5:17) Doesn’t that sound wonderful Amanda! Old fears, old bad habits, old temptations and many things PASS AWAY when we become a new creation in Christ. Now remember “…the WORD OF GOD is LIVING and POWERFUL, and is a discerner (it finds out or discovers) the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12)
That is really marvelous but even more astounding Amanda, “ALL Scripture is GOD–BREATHED and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly (completely, inside and out) equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16-17) Now really think about this Amanda, when we read scriptures they are not just words, these words are ALIVE, they are actually LIVING WORDS! and these words are FULL OF POWER!!! How can that be? It can be because God is God and He can do anything. So, we can accept this and allow God’s Word to really make a difference in our lives or reject it and just go on ignorant and happy.
The most amazing thing about God’s word is that when we read it GOD IS BREATHING THE WORD ON US because HIS Word is GOD–BREATHED! No matter how far-fetched this may seem It is impossible for God to lie so, this is the way it is. Now Amanda, we just have to accept it and let it change our lives…
