When we are going through a trial remember this scripture, don’t just remember it!!! REPEAT IT AGAIN AND AGAIN, it is the “BREATHED OUT, LIVING and POWERFUL” Word of God, “Even though I WALK THROUGH (I’m always going to make it through WITH YOU LORD) the DARKEST VALLEY, I will FEAR NO EVIL, FOR YOU ARE WITH ME ((Deuteronomy 31:6-8) says “it is the LORD your God who GOES WITH YOU. HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU or FORSAKE YOU”); your rod and your staff, they COMFORT me.” (Psalms 23:4)
When Job was going through so many trials he said, “DOESN’T GOD SEE HOW I LIVE? Doesn’t He COUNT EVERY STEP I TAKE? “I haven’t told any lies. My feet haven’t hurried to cheat others. So let God weigh me in honest scales. Then HE’LL KNOW I HAVEN’T DONE ANYTHING WRONG.” (Job 31:4-6) Job did not know that God was taking him through a trial. In the end, Job did not get a definite answer from God about the reason for his suffering. God restored Job, by doubling everything he had lost. JOB’S FAITH IN GOD WAS FIRMLY FIXED IN PLACE. He testified about his faithfulness earlier, “Though He slay me, YET WILL I TRUST IN HIM…“ (Job 13:15a) That’s what we must do, “Trust in the LORD with ALL YOUR HEART. DO NOT DEPEND ON YOUR OWN understanding. In ALL YOUR WAYS REMEMBER HIM. Then He will make your paths SMOOTH AND STRAIGHT.” (Prov. 3:5-6)
