GOD’S WORD IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE…

Many people are saying today that we need to revise the bible it’s too hard to live by!Jesus Christ is the same (autos: to give absolute distinction (there is no one like Jesus)) yesterday, today, and forever.(Hebrews 13:8) God warns of changing His word,You shall NOT ADD to the word which I command you, NOR TAKE from it, that you may KEEP the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. (Deuteronomy 4:2) We are also warned here, For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone ADDS to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone TAKES away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)

We are to READ, BELIEVE and OBEY the Word of God, we are to PRACTICE its teachings and PRESENT them to our children EVERY DAY! “And these words which I command you today shall be IN YOUR HEART. You shall TEACH THEM DILIGENTLY TO YOUR CHILDREN and shall talk of them when you SIT in your house, when you WALK by the way, when you LIE DOWN, and when you RISE UP. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.(Deuteronomy 6:6-9)

Why does God REQUIRE THIS OF US? “…the word of God is LIVING and POWERFUL, and SHARPER (tomōteros: comprehensive, critical) than any two-edged sword, PIERCING (diikneomai: to go through, to penetrate) even to the division of soul and spirit (exposing the difference between earthly and spiritually), and of joints and marrow, and is a DISCERNER of (kritikos: to judge or differentiate) the thoughts and intents of the heart.(what we THINK about the Word and what we a intend to DO about the Word) (Hebrews 4:12)

In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was GodAll things were made by HimTHE WORD BECAME A HUMAN BEING. He made His home with us. We have seen His glory. It is the glory of the one and only Son. He came from the Father. And He was full of grace and truth.(John 1:1,3,14)

So, let’s say, YOUR WORD I HAVE HIDDEN IN MY HEART, THAT I MIGHT NOT SIN AGAINST YOU. (Psalms 119:11)
