I want to share something so incredible that the Lord impressed on my heart this day. This word that I’m speaking about is GOD’S UNFAILING LOVE. “Turn Lord and deliver me, save me because of Your UNFAILING LOVE.” (Psalm 6:4) “…I trust in Your UNFAILING LOVE; my heart rejoices in Your salvation.” (Psalm 13:5) “The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His UNFAILING LOVE.” (Psalm 33:5)
What’s so spectacular about God’s unfailing love is that this love is powerful enough to deliver us from what we deserve! You see, “…the wages of sin IS DEATH…” (Rom. 6:23) The Lord revealed to us in the Old Testament, “The one who sins is the one WHO WILL DIE.” (Eze. 18:20) But amazingly because of God’s Unfailing Love, “…God (so hated sin but) SO LOVED THE WORLD that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him SHOULD NOT PERISH (die) but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) This love was so unfailing that Jesus put forth a new commandment, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, IF you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)
