[GOD’S LOVE FOR US is the perfect example and is the beginning place for learning about and living in the love of God. There are also great verses about love in relation to marriage, brotherly love or friendship, and loving your neighbor!]
“…we are MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor ANY POWERS, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, WILL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 8:37-39)
[We stand faithful to the new covenant with our Abba Father; He is faithful and has promised to sustain us and make us MORE THAN CONQUERORS; to give us a complete victory over sin, and death, and hell, not leaving any enemy undefeated.]
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. LOVE NEVER FAILS.” (1 Corin. 13:4-8)
[The love for our Abba Father, and for our neighbor, the two greatest commandments, is patient towards all men: it suffers ALL THE WEAKNESS, ignorance, errors, and frailties of the children of God; and all the hatred and wickedness of the children of this world; and all this, not merely for a short time, but without end; for it should be our new nature, which trials, difficulties, etc., can never reach. It also waits for God’s time of accomplishing his gracious divine purposes, without murmuring or complaining; and accepts its own weaknesses, as well as those of others, with HUMBLE SUBMISSION TO THE WILL OF GOD!]
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE.” (1 Corin. 13:13)
[Without faith it is impossible to please God; and without it, we could not be partakers of the grace of our Lord Jesus: without hope we could not stand, being unable to see him who is invisible; or have any satisfactory idea of the eternal world; neither could we bear up under the afflictions and difficulties of life: but as great and useful and necessary as faith and hope are, LOVE IS GREATER: LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW; but this is never said of faith or hope!]
HOW WONDERFUL TO BE LOVED BY THE CREATOR OF ALL THINGS!
Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:
THE GREATEST OF THESE IS LOVE!
