Think of a child who spins a top and lets it spin out of control, only to crash into the wall, teeter, totter, and ultimately fall. God will NOT DO this with His creation – no, He is INTIMATELY CONCERNED WITH OUR WELL-BEING. “For God SO LOVED the world (mankind His creation in the world) that HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him should not perish but have EVERLASTING LIFE.” (John 3:16)
How did this all begin? “God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man IN OUR IMAGE, according TO OUR LIKENESS; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man IN HIS OWN IMAGE; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Gen. 1:26-27) The Lord’s desire was to have intimacy with man, Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life (zōē: the principle of spiritual life in the spirit and the soul), and that they may have it more abundantly (Jesus promises, will never be found in another person. Instead, true abundant life is internal and it’s found in CHRIST ALONE.). “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.” (John 10:10-11)
This is true intimacy with God: when we feel that no one else would totally understand, even if we tried to explain, because relationship with God IS PERSONAL. So this is what we must do, “…humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time He will LIFT YOU UP IN HONOR. Give ALL YOUR WORRIES AND CARES TO GOD, for HE CARES (melō: to be deeply concerned) ABOUT YOU. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.” (1 Peter 5:6-9)
Get a group together and pray earnestly for God to give you just who you need…
