“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days HE HAS SPOKEN TO US BY HIS SON, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom [Jesus] also HE MADE THE UNIVERSE.” (Heb. 1:1-2)
Our loving Abba Father sent Jesus to us, to provide the only way for our salvation. To show us the ability Jesus has to do this magnificent task, God mentions that it is Jesus who is responsible for the creation of all things!
“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and THE EXACT REPRESENTATION OF HIS BEING, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” (Heb. 1:3)
Jesus Christ our Lord and savior is exactly like our Heavenly Father, that why He is called God, the Son…
“…about the Son God says, “YOUR THRONE, O GOD, WILL LAST FOR EVER AND EVER; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” (Heb. 1:8-9)
So, we see the Father (God) acknowledging Jesus as God, the Son. Jesus is set above all…
“To which of the angels did God ever say, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?” (Heb. 1:13)
