GOD MUST BE GLORIFIED…

“As Jesus went along, He saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that THE WORKS OF GOD MIGHT BE DISPLAYED in him.” (John 9:1-3) The condition of this blind man was very sad. He was blind, and had been so from his birth. Jesus stated that the reason for this was to bring GLORY to God! We realize that light is beautiful, how miserable it must be for a man, all his life, to live in darkness! The blind has no enjoyment of the light, but one who is born blind has NO IDEA OF IT and has never been exposed to the enjoyment of seeing! “As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.” (John 9:4-5) Jesus as the “light of the world” was present to display the miraculous power of healing for this man and others that needed healing. “After saying this, He spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So, THE MAN WENT AND WASHED, AND CAME HOME SEEING.” (John 9:6-7) What an amazing Abba Father we have! To organize this all so at just the right time Jesus would come by and perform this miracle, to increase our faith! As the religious officials questioned the blind man he said: “Whether he is a sinner or not, (they said Jesus was a sinner) I don’t know. ONE THING I DO KNOW. I WAS BLIND BUT NOW I SEE!” (John 9:25) Not only could he see, but he “KNEW HOW” to see!

This miracle involved healing and preparing his body to do something that it had never learned to do “SEE”. Our all wise creator and maker has a redemption plan that may include our being examples of HIS awesomeness!

No matter how dreadful things may be in this life, there is an eternal JOY and PEACE that awaits us, where we will be COMPLETELY FULFILLED!
